I knew your mother and your father so well and she was an absolute complete angel, and I know how that must feel to you.
I had that happen in my life also but Marie was just very very special and unusual. What a lady what a wonderful wonderful person. And she created some awesome daughters that I knew when they were very young.

I will always remember Marie for having a kind word, a beautiful heart, a wide smile and a twinkle in her eye. Her encouraging words, “isn’t it great how much God loves you” are perfect for everyone at all times.  What a comfort to know that she is now with the One who loves her so!

The first time we ever met, you were praying over me with your beloved Stephen, facilitating together a massive game changing inner healing as you lifted me up, looked into my eyes and said so sweetly yet so confidently  'God has called you to heal His people through words and songs, are you writing things down?" 

We had never met and lived in different states, so you had no way of knowing that part of what I brought into that retreat in my heart precisely had to do with asking God what His will was for me, and for the songs He had been giving me for so many years. 

Tonight, I sang the first song you heard when by the grace of God I was offered an opportunity to sing at the end of that retreat. The reactions brought me back to that time and so many things you said when you heard that song, many of which have already come to pass. It will be cool to see the other things you spoke for my life come alive as constant reminders flow along with a sweet desire to live by the beautiful virtues and ideals you so faithfully exemplified. 

So grateful that after the retreat we kept in touch as You and Stephen walked along side me watching over me, encouraging me along the path to follow God's calling for me faithfully,  praying for and with me especially when doubt crept in,  discipling me, challenging me, helping me grow making sure I'd be attentive and receptive to the graces being poured. 

Can't believe it's already been a month since you were called to be with our Father in heaven. There is so much more in my heart, and so many memories and testimonies of your miraculously wonderful presence in my life.  Yet to not make this too much longer,  I will simply say I count myself among the many so grateful to God for you and for bringing you into our lives, and now pray you are dancing joyfully with Jesus in heaven as Stephen and your whole family experience God's graces, hope, and love in super abundance.

I’m so grateful to have known your soul.
I have so many precious memories that I will always cherish and miss... including my fabulous cousins that I am so thankful for. Your presence was unique and holy and I am thankful for that. I can’t help but feel recognized by what you left behind,  I 
am blessed that you made me feel like I can move through life without  zero judgement. Knowing you and God are always there for me makes this so much easier. Until I see you again, your smile radiates my mind and I love you so much. Rest In Peace.

Marie and I had been friends since I was 4 years old and she was 5 years.  We were close from the day we met and we stayed in contact all of our lives.  Many times she lived close enough so we could visit and catch up.  One time she lived in a California town that reminded me of our hometown.  I stayed there 3 or 4 days and we had the most wonderful time reminiscing.  We laughed and cried and laughed some more. There are not enough words to describe such a beautiful and loving Friendship we shared over a lifetime.  I love her and will miss her but our Heavenly and merciful  Father Jehovah promises us Paridise. I know I will see my Dear Friend again.  God's word says; the righteous will inherit the earth and they will find their exquisite delight upon it.

It’s been a month since you returned to heaven, and although we miss you terribly, you are forever in our hearts. Each day we look for something to be grateful for because that is what you taught us to do. 

We get to celebrate your life and find comfort in the love you so abundantly and graciously shared with us. We treasure you!

Your family has lost someone very special, somebody who touched many lives.  Reading the memories of  friends and family, it is very evident that Marie had a profound impact on the lives of, not only her family, but so many others. My prayers for all of  you are to feel God's love and comfort as He holds you in His arms.

Marie is the kindest person we have ever known. I remember when I first come to California Frances brought me to her house for every holiday gatherings. Marie and Peter welcome me as part of the family.  Marie and Peter are the  most generous loving people.  They will forever remain in our hearts.

Dear Mom,

Thank you. Thank you for having me, raising me, loving me, adoring me, helping me, mentoring me, praying for me, providing for me, educating me, teaching me to pray, showing me how to discover my spiritual gifts, giving me a foundation of faith in God, bringing me up Catholic, cheering for me, guiding me, supporting me, being passionate, joyful, peaceful, standing for what you believe in, staying strong, persevering, overcoming, trusting in The Lord and always just being your amazingly wonderful awesome self.

You are my mother, my mentor, my confidant, my faith filled prayer partner and best friend. We always enjoyed our quality time together no matter what we were doing. I have so many treasured memories of us traveling together, vacationing, going to Italy, having adventures, scuba diving, picnicking, hanging out, going on girls trips, praying, dreaming together, walking each other down the aisle, working on our goals and truly experiencing all life had to offer.

You always said the party began when I arrived. The truth is my world lit up when I was around you. There’s not a picture I have where I’m not smiling from ear-to-ear or laughing hysterically. I will miss your beautiful face, gorgeous smile, incredible laugh, loving embrace, uplifting words, intelligent mind, wise advice, classy style and just getting to spend quality time together talking.

Your soul lifts me up. Your light, your spirit, your zeal for God and life exudes from you mom. I know you are no longer confined to your body. Your spirit is now radiating with all of us. 

Even though you’re no longer here in person, I find peace in knowing you are with me always and interceding for me, helping work miracles on my behalf. 

There is a void in our lives now that you are gone but we find peace in knowing you’re in Heaven no longer suffering.

Marie was not only the best mother in law I could have ever had, she was also one of my best friends. Her kind and gentle demeanor was so much fun to be around and I will miss her dearly.

The first time we met, I knew you were special. 
From visiting our nation’s capital to scuba diving in the keys, you were always up for a challenge. I am honored to have had such a special bond with you that was so much fun. 

I’m so happy I was able to be apart of the past 14 years with you and the family and I promise to take care of your baby girl for the rest of our lives. The day I got to ask for Amber’s hand in marriage, knowing who I was asking, made it so much easier. You are such a joy to be around and I’m going to miss those talks we always had. I love you and will miss you dearly.

Marie was spirit filled, sharing her faith and joy with  everyone.   I think it was 1980 she asked me to attend a Charismatic convention with her and my little ones.  It was a life changing experience for me and the children loved the special activities scheduled for them.   I cherish the memory of Marie and I spending the last few days of life with our mother. Marie played comforting CD's, picked flowers and created a cheerful  atmosphere.  She massaged Mom's hands and feet, talking to her even though Mom was not conscious.  The nurse in her knew how to give loving care even to the end .Marie was my prayer warrior for years and I will always call on her for help. I feel her presence and hear her voice.  You are our Angel, keep watch over all of us. Love you, Margaret


Marie was my first cousin. Growing up in Connecticut, we were able to visit with Marie and family a few times a year when they visited us from Rochester. I remember her visits because Marie and I wre the oldest girls on our families. The giggles, secrets, what we were doing.... we always were able to pick up where we left off from the last visit. Wonderful memories.  As we got older our visits were far between then dwindled down to letters. Had the privilege of seeing her and Stephen 7 years ago when we visited my brother in Atlanta.  She was how I remembered her.. eyes sparkling, speaking kindly of everyone. Her spiritual ness came shining through. She glowed...no other words. It was a short but nourishing visit for me. I have always hoped to see her again but that is going to have to wait. I’m so sorry for your loss Stephen, Allison, Amber, Andrea, Annette. You have an angel in heaven. C

A flood of memories filled with Joy!  Marie was a shining example of a woman of faith.  She welcomed  me in to the family, guided me through tough times, and her mentorship was patient,  positive,  and filled with love.  She always had a way to inspire me to want better for myself ( but showed me I was worthy of love just as I was) and to do the right thing.  I am so thankful to have had her in my life.  I have been so blessed  to have had an earthly angel in times of crisis . She loved so deeply and is so deeply loved .  I love how she said " I love how God loves you!"  She has done such a fine job in raising her girls! I love seeing all the adventures and can only imagine her cheering us all on from heaven!   Thank you Marie for always being you!

Marie there will never be anyone like you!I’m so lucky to have had you in my life, you gave me courage, strength and held me up through some difficult times. You also celebrated my joys alongside me like this one carrying my first born baby Rowan in my tummy & cheering me through all my milestones! My Aunt Marie stood strong in her beliefs and values but held no judgment for others who didn’t.  She greeted everyone with warmth and welcome and saw God in everyone.  Her smile and her laugh are forever in my heart and give me the most comforting feeling when I go there in my memories.  I always felt important to her and loved by her.  She also had a great sense of humor about and a wise perspective on the harder parts of life. I will miss her comforting reminders and loving affirmations but I feel her spirit around me.   And in her beautiful daughters. 

I am so grateful and blessed to call you sister. I’m remembering all the special visits we shared each year when Chuck and I headed to Florida for the winter.  When health kept us from our yearly visit we visited by phone. Our conversations were always filled with laughter and prayer. Oh the wonderful laugh. Love you and miss you so much. Judy

Ever since I met Mrs. Azur my first time, I knew that there was something heavenly about her. She always made me feel like I was floating on air, like I was the most special person I could be. Being such an amazing giver, she gave herself away to everyone around her. She gave me confidence, laughter, and one of my best friends in the world. When someone is capable of this level of love, all who spent time with her are the lucky ones. She lifted us all off our feet. And there is no doubt she has the biggest pair of wings on Heavens dance floor, Thank you for all of the blessings!

Dear Marie,

I am so blessed that I have met you so many years ago. You are one of the most beautiful souls that are wandering in this universe.
I think about you and your family and all the experiences I was gifted through all of you so often.
You were the most gentle and loving person. Also I was staying with your family for a short time, you made it feel like you have known me forever. I may have never told you, but meeting you inspired me to be a better person. You as well as your daughters are strong women that I will always look up to.

You are dearest to me. So much love. So much respect. So much appreciation. So much acceptance. So much determination as well as tenderness. So much compassion. So much Joy. All shared with me, each one in your family, each one in your and our extended families, and each one in our RLM family. You are so divinely guided God’s Love poured out of you and thru you so beautifully. Your travels were inspiring and fruitful for all around you. Medjugorje, Lourdes, Fatima, Rome, Paris to name a few. Our trip to Ottawa, Montreal, St. Joseph’s Oratory with Riley and Joshua wonderful. Our many trips to pray with JPII Healing Center in Tallahassee seeing God change lives.  The retreats we did together in Coventry in Panhandle Texas and in Spokane Washington were awesome and shared about even today. Your special times with your daughters on several occasions. What fun! What Joy! What experiences. Brave traveler and wonderful companion thru it all. 
Then there was the local experiences with Steubenville each summer, Covecrest wedding and retreats, Life in the Spirit Seminars in many locations in the area, ACCR gatherings and conferences where healing occurred, so much in our time together. Thank you Jesus for so much! 
For you the best has come. 
For us the best is yet to come. 
Now the universe is your realm allowing the fullness of who you are to be experienced by so many more! Praise God!!!

I did not get to see Marie but for a few times a year, but every time I did get to see her it was always so loving. She made time for us every time we were in Atlanta visiting. She made sure to remind me I am child of God and loved so much. The way I always left after visiting with her was uplifted, peaceful and genuinely loved & cared for. I will dearly miss Marie but take comfort in knowing without a doubt I will see her again.

    You are a great light in my life. Even now you are felt deeply in all I do and all each person you touched does. A greater example of how to love,  accept, nurture, each Child of God you encountered in our 16 plus years together is not available. You shine and always have. You were shining down Ocoee rafting trip. You were shining the first ministry trip we took with Andre to Tallahassee to teach and model prayer models. You are shining thru that deep relationship with Kyle. You were shining with each of your kids, grand kids and great grandson. You helped me thru several attitude adjustments that make loving so much easier and rewarding as we witnessed God work in so many folks lives.  Shine on as you work from heaven. I love you and miss you. I am very happy you are home withJesus, Mary and Joesph as well as the angelic family you knew so well. Work in peace. Be at rest till we are together again. Thank you for so much and for allowing me to be so much for you as well. You are an awesome angel here and there. There are so many great memories and experiences of getting to know you. Each ministry, each gathering, each seminar and retreat we did together were life changing for so many. I am glad you see your impact on so many that we had no idea that God was healing along the way. Blessings and Peace. May perpetual light shine ever upon you as you are now with Our Lord. What a beautiful soul Marie had and has shinning down on all of you and selfishly myself.  Marie and Pete accepted me into their family like a son.  Miss  walking into the house and seeing the Azer family on faimly dinner.   What a beautiful, gracious family you Azers are thanks for all the greatest times Azers.  I don't think I ever heard Marie complain, always positive and gave so much love.  You will be missed Marie ( 2nd mom ) love always.

Marie always made time for us when we came to visit Amber and Jonathan.  She was such a beautiful light and we just always felt such a peace around her.  She was such a blessing to all and I praise God that Jonathan had such a wonderful mother in law.   She will truly be missed. 

I cherish my memories of my dear sister-in-law!
She truly inspired me with her deep faith and generous heart. She was there for me when my husband was hospitalized with a lung transplant and gave me immense support!  She was above all, a loving sister and a terrific nurse.  I know she is now in the loving arms of her parents and older siblings and I wish her everlasting joy in heaven!🙏🏾

Dearest Stephen and Marie’s Daughters and Families,
Our hearts were saddened to hear of Marie’s death. I had a blessed conversation with her in early January.  She was as Joy filled as ever.
We met she and Peter over 40 years ago during our Marriage Encounter Ministry and became great friends.  Marie Introduced me to Mary Kay and I enjoyed being a consultant for several Years.  Later we formed a ‘’Prayer Team” and called each other in the early morning to intercede in prayer for each other, our families, and for anyone who asked for prayers .  We did this for several periods over the past years.  She was “My Best Friend”.  We were always happy to see each other.  She and Stephen came to visit us a few years ago and  at a special Luncheon, we took the posted picture.   It was  certainly a joy filled time. Thank you Stephen and her beautiful daughters for keeping us informed.  Know that I also think of Marie as a Saint who is praying for us so that one day we may all be with her to Worship and Praise our God.

Marie was not only bathe in grace but also showered it upon others. She was kind, thoughtful, and selfless - a true channel of God’s love. She made our family look good and will forever be remembered as St. Marie.

Dear Stephen and Family:

Marie was a lovely, faith-filled woman who was an absolute delight to be with, both in prayer group and social settings.  And there was always an abundance of prayer in the social settings as well.  She was, and still is, a great inspiration to us.  Whenever we asked for prayer, Marie (and Stephen) were responsive.  We first met Marie in the St. Andrew prayer group and we could tell from our very first meeting with her that this was one special, holy lady.  We will sorely miss her but will continue to pray for and with her.

The wake and the funeral Mass were both super-holy events.   We are so much better off from having known Marie.  We learned so much about how to pray to God with our hearts from her.  God Bless you, Stephen, and your entire family.

Dear Gammy, I’m miss you so much and have been praying for you every single day. The love you shared with the world matches no other, and you brought so much joy to every single person you met. I still remember going over to The Dock every once and awhile to draw on the water coloring books. I would mess up the page or spill the water all over the floor, and you still treated me like royalty.  You were so fun and amazing to be around and every time I stepped into your house I felt the most happiness ever. Your love for God gives me hope in my life, and I aspire to be just like you in all aspects. I’m going to miss your smile, laugh, and wonderful singing. Thanks to you, my new favorite song is Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep! Love you forever -Brett

Gammy was such an amazing grandmother. I have made so many amazing memories with her. One of my favorite memories was when we went to the lake and she laughed and made memories with all of us. 

We love and treasure you Bubba! You are not chopped liver. Mom loved you dearly. Here is a picture of our Bubba and our dear departed Sitto. 

Dear Mommy, 
     We were so blessed that God gave us to you as your daughters. The world was always a little brighter with you here. You made everyone feel like they were the most important person in the room. I think you got that gift from Grandma Morin. You had a calming grace that always made us feel like everything was going to be ok. Grandpa Morin had that gift of grace and kindness too. You radiated love, and whenever we needed you, you were here to take care of us. If my heart rate goes too low, I will eat dark chocolate and thank God for you. Mom, there is no one like you. You are beautiful, kind, and spiritual. 
     Although we know you are our angel in heaven, we will miss your FaceTime calls, Snapchat stories, Instagram posts, and inspirational words of wisdom. I am so grateful that I was able to FaceTime you the last day you were here. I wish I were there to hold your hand and sing your songs. I know Stephen, Annette, Amber, and your grands had us covered and made sure you felt loved and treasured.  
     We will watch out for Ambi and make sure we are there when she and Jonathan are blessed with babies. You prepared us for this, which might be one of the biggest challenges we have ever faced. We will celebrate your life and take care of each other. I can't promise there won’t be drama because we are Azer girls after all. I will vow that we will try to keep up your Hail Mary prayers at 3 pm, live life the best way we can ”By Choosing Our Reactions,” and as dad would say, PMA (positive mental attitude). 
     Your family misses you, and we are grateful for our dear Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends that are family.  Well Done, Mommy! You have reached your goal and made it to heaven. Although our hearts are heavy, we will sing, dance, and celebrate your beautiful life just like you taught us to do. 

We were fortunate enough to have had Marie in our lives through several branches of our family trees intersecting. Whether it be at a formal family gathering or a casual BBQ at Alison and Joe’s house, Marie always brightened a room with her boundless joy. We know her girls and grands will miss her terribly. God bless!

Marie was the best mother-in-law one could ask for. I always sought her advice for  problems outside of my realm of comprehension—she was a true light to those in need and in despair.  

My condolences to the family of Marie Day  who was known to me as Mrs. Azer. I was blessed to meet Marie when I was in  first grade. She was our class Brownie Leader and her daughter, Andrea, became my best friend. When I was a little girl, Marie used to hold my hand and tell me that I was her favorite Brownie. I remember the feeling of being loved. As a young girl this was a magical thing to hear. Throughout my life, Marie continued to give me support, guidance and an abundance of love. She also gave me my best friend and and three other beautiful “sisters” whom I adore. She was literally an angel on earth and now she is our angel above. God bless her family as they celebrate the extraordinary life of a beautiful woman. 

There are some people in life who instantly make others feel loved and good about themselves. Marie was that person.

Marie always had the Light of Christ in her.  Surely God warmly embraced her with the coveted sentence... "Well done, my good and faithful servant."  May her family's breaking heart hold close the thought that Marie's life was not her own....it belonged to God...and He shared her with all of us.   Thank you for the beautiful memories.
