He was born on November 15th, 1930 to Osrew and Emma Strickland in Blackshear, Georgia.
Darrel was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was known for unwavering love and devotion to his wife and family. He was a dedicated follower of Christ and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Roswell, GA.
Throughout his life, Darrel achieved many accomplishments in the work field as a Regional Manager for American Sterilizer Corporation, always giving his best. He touched the lives of countless individuals through his gardening skills, using the ground as his art palette.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, brother, three children, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at 10:30 AM on November 30, 2024 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Ellijay, GA with a funeral service following at 11 AM.
