Jeannine Ann Cooper - James

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother Jeannine "cookie" Cooper-James. Cookie passed away peacefully in her home in Roseville on November 29, 2024 at the age of 80. She was born January 18, 1944 to Laverne Meier and raised by her grandmother Maud Meier.

Cookie retired from Budd Wheel Company after 20 plus years. Her favorite pastimes were traveling, casinos, reading the newspaper, sudoku, puzzles and going out to eat. Cookie's family was her world- she was always making sure their needs were met. Her kindness, generosity and love will be truly missed always by all who knew her.

Cookie married William James and he preceded her in death. She was the beloved mother of Timothy (Lori), Keith (Wendy); mother-in-law to Janet; stepmother of Rona, Felicia, Ebony and Crystal; cherished grandmother of Frank (Dayna), April, Gary (Mariwill), Dale, Sean and Aaron; great grandmother of, Cherivic (Owen), Kaliye, Sonija, Sophia, Olivia, Gabriel, Aubrey, Angelo, Gavin and James; great-great-grandmother to Kai and Kue; dear sister to Danny, Linda (Curtis). She was preceded in death by her husband, William James; her children, Frank, Dale (Diane), Joanne; a granddaughter, Maria; and her siblings Constance (Richard), Cheryl, Robin "Bo," Sandy (Larry).

A visitation for Jeannine will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Kaul Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 10:00 am, at Kaul Funeral Home, 27830 Gratiot Ave, Roseville, MI 48066. Burial will be at Woodmere Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.
