James Edward Dupuis, 95, of Detroit, MI died on October 29th 2020. “Jim” Dupuis, is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia and children, James Dupuis Jr., Daniel Dupuis, Laura Dupuis and stepchildren David Gmeiner and Trish Dragin. He is also survived by grandchildren Michelle Dupuis, Kristin Dupuis and Christopher Gmeiner. Jim proudly served in World War II. He owned a number of business entities within the lithography and print industries. Jim was adopted and raised by Mrs. Ida Schultz and Gus Trinidad of Detroit, while spending summers in Greenbush, MI with pre-deceased brother Alex and Margaret Schultz. He was an avid boater who loved to tinker on classic boats and traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada on his watercraft. He was a founder of the Grand Bend Yacht Club, where he maintained a part-time residence for decades. Jim could listen to music for hours and loved everything from Johnny Cash to Dean Martin. He will be remembered as a man of immense charisma who made an impression on everyone he met and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
