Robert Howard Blanford

Born 11/4/1922 in Burbank, California.

Passed away 2/21/2011 in Rocklin, California.

He joins his loving wife, Patricia, and leaves son, Robert P. and daughter-in-law Mona Blanford, daughter Susan I. Muzette, grandsons, Matthew and Michael Blanford and Rheo Livermore. His brother Albert has passed, leaving his wife Ruth Blanford.

Bob graduated high school from Venice High in Los Angeles, was an Army Paratrooper in WWII, earned his Master’s degree from U.C. Berkeley in Forestry. He worked 33 years for the California Department of Forestry, retiring as an Assistant Director in 1981. Bob enjoyed many hobbies, including landscaping, woodworking, leather and glass work.

He was a loving Dad and Grandpa, the constant of the family, and a gentleman. We love and miss him.

According to his wishes, there will be no services. Family will gather at the cemetery. Bob was a long-time volunteer at the Rocklin Library.
