Maria Hortencia Guerrero

Maria, affectionately known as Tencha, passed away on November 4, 2024, in her home surrounded by family. Tencha was born in El Paso Texas where she lived until moving to Roseville, CA. She married the love of her life, Robert Guerrero Jr. on May 18, 1960, and together they raised four children. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched. She will be remembered for her love, kindness, generosity, and dedication to her family. Beloved Mother to Sylvia Hernandez and husband Ruben I., Robert R. Guerrero and wife Michelle, Salvador Guerrero, and Arturo Guerrero. Devoted Grandmother to Rochelle, Maria, Robert J., Ruben J., Michael, Amanda, Nikki, Matthew, Jason, Tyler, and Breanne, and Great Grandchildren, Devin, Nathen, Hayden, Leilani, Valentina, Chloe, Julian, Robert I., Brody, Christian, Karsyn, and Aliana. Also survived by her sister Gloria Chacon of El Paso Texas, many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.

There was nothing more important to Tencha than her family. She loved to cook for them and shared her love of food with all. Her grandchildren will remember her most for her homemade tortillas. She was a member of the Roseville Moose Lodge for 37 years where she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing Bingo.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Robert Guerrero Jr., Father, Jose Palacios and Mother, Jovita, and Brother, Guillermo Palacios and Sister, Irene Sanchez.

There will be a private funeral service at Lambert’s Funeral Home.
