Anthony Philip Lorenz was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania on May 7, 1955. He is preceded in death by his father, William Anthony Lorenz, mother Rosemary Costabile Lorenz, and older brother, William “Billy” Lorenz. He is survived by his wife, Sherrie “Hannah” Lorenz, his four children Austen Lorenz engaged to Beatrice Gordon, Emersen Lorenz, Celeste Brown married to Joseph Brown and their children Madison and Conner, and Crystal McGuinness married to Samuel McGuinness and their two children Bailey and Naomi; his sister, Cheryl Ayala and her husband Jose Ayala and their daughter Elianna Ayala.
On June 7, 2008, Anthony and Sherrie “Hannah” Hall were married at Holy Assumption Monastery in Calistoga, Ca. They have maintained an ongoing relationship with the sisters there attending work parties and services.
Anthony enjoyed his college years, especially his relationships with his fraternity brothers from Alpha Tau Omega. His fraternity brother, Carl “Skip” Sandburg, was a lifelong friend and was able to visit Anthony recently. Anthony earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Charleston.
After his college graduation, Anthony was employed in the financial services industry by various companies including Dean Witter, Charles Schwab and E-Trade. The last leg of his career was working for the solar company, SMA America, as an inside sales representative.
Following retirement, Anthony and Hannah relocated from Lake of the Pines to Roseville, Ca where he was an active member of St. Anna’s Greek Orthodox Church. Anthony was always willing to lend a hand for the Greek Food Festival and other church events. In 2018 Anthony participated in a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and Greece. He had the opportunity to travel to Italy, Greece, France, and Mexico. He enjoyed brewing beer with his friend Manny, working in his garden, and hiking with his friends from Lake of the Pines.
Anthony was a good father and “Pap Pap” to his children and grandchildren. He made being with them a priority. He especially enjoyed backpacking with his sons, family camping trips, and family meals. He took great joy in preparing a Thanksgiving meal for his family and decorating for Christmas.
Anthony is much beloved by his family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ. May his memory be eternal.
