Kristopher Lee Baker

Kris leaves to mourn the love of his life, Christine Lefebvre, his boys, Chad, Cole and Kameron. Kristopher is predeceased by his mother, Nancy Havill and his father Lee Baker. His sister, Chelsea, brother-in-law Robert Beauchamp, his niece Kaylee and nephew Ryan. As well as, his cousins Jamie Price (Logane), Paula Price (Gary, Meg, Madison, Kenzie), Mark Fahey (Thomas, Sean), and Todd Fahey (Stephanie). He is also predeceased by his aunt Margie Havill and uncle Brian Fahey. Also, by his mother-in-law Louise Sirois, and brother-in-law, Marc Lefebvre. Additionally, many friends and extended family.

Kris was born in Montreal on November 19, 1977. Growing up in Rosemere, Kristopher was very athletic and excelled at anything he put his mind to from skiing, swimming, baseball, football to soccer. Kris graduated from Concordia University with a specialization in History and a minor in Education. He continued his education by achieving his History Educator’s License for the State of Massachusetts. Kris then furthered his love for learning by graduating from Ottawa University with “Cum laude” with a Bachelor’s of Education once again with a focus on History. His knowledge and love to learn easily transcended to everyone around him. Kris was a fountain of knowledge, facts and information. He made history class and every subject fun, interesting and most of all entertaining. His sons benefited from his passion and his students were grateful to have him. Students asked to be switched to his history class and are still in contact with him years after graduating, thanking him for being their number one teacher/mentor and always going the extra mile to help them in all matters of their lives.

Kris talked about his whole family with absolute pride, especially his wife, Christine and his boys, Chad, Cole and Kameron. He always showed that special glow in his eyes, that special smile of pride when he talked of his mom, Nancy and his dad, Lee. He constantly protected, guided and sheltered his younger sister Chelsea. He always said his children were his strength, but the truth is he was ours. His positivity was infectious and was responsible for smiles on many.

No words can express our sense of loss, our sense of loneliness with the departure of Kris. His childhood love of Cape Cod started his passions to spend time with family walking the beach, swimming, and deep sea fishing. His dream was to retire on the Cape with a fishing boat with all his family by his side. Family was the most important thing in his life. He was the love of Christine's life! Together, they lived and loved life, laughed lots and took advantage of every chance to experience family adventures with their boys. Kris's love and devotion to his boys was immeasurable and unwavering. He spent endless hours occupying them, taking them on nature walks, fishing, camping and simply 'hanging out' with them whenever he could. Kris worked very hard every day to make it all happen, giving them every opportunity to enjoy life and to learn.

To all who knew Kris, everyone was his friend. He had this magnetic way about him that attracted people to him in an almost velcro-like grip that made those attachments lifelong and dear. Those who knew him best remember his jokes, but they remember his story-telling skills relating to humor in everyday experiences. At any gathering, the sudden eruption of laughter from some corner of a room was usually from a group gathered around Kris, responding to yet another of his many tales. He had a laugh, a smile and a twinkle in his eyes that will not be forgotten.

Kris we will miss your wisdom, your guidance and sense of humor. We will never forget you Kris. Rest in peace. We all love you so much.

Kris’s celebration of life will be held at Rosemere High School in the auditorium on Saturday, December 18th at 2pm. Due to Covid rules, we can only allow up to 250 people to attend. There will be no reception due to restrictions. Therefore, it will be postponed till a further date.
