Peggy Ann Lee Hughes

Mrs. Hughes was born November 24, 1935 in White, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Hubert Lee and Ophelia Smith Lee. She was also preceded in death by two brothers; W.C. Lee, James Eugene Lee; and one sister, Laura Rose Hughes.

Mrs. Hughes loved working with crafts, and was a member of Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church in Rome, Georgia.

Survivors include her children; Robin Segrest and her husband Brian of Rome; Marvin Dykes of Rome, Mark Dykes of Rome, Keith and Sharon Dykes of Calhoun; brothers, Donald Lee of Acworth, Max Lee and his wife Caroline of White, Wayne Lee of White, Roy Lee and his wife Karen of White, Hayden Lee and his wife Frieda of Cartersville; sisters, Mary Hightower and her husband Van of Cartersville, Joyce Crisp and her husband Gary of White and Brenda Hardison of Cartersville, eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family received friends Saturday, December 2, 2017, from 1 to 3pm at Owen Funeral Home in Cartersville. A service was held at 3:00 following the visitation in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Ray officiating. Interment will follow in White United Methodist Church Cemetery, Richards Road, White, Georgia.
