Mrs. Wallace was born in Murfreesboro, TN. March 7, 1956. She graduated from Auburn University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Textile Technology. She loved crafts, never met a stranger, always had a smile on her face, was a supporter of the local arts, loved life and more than anything she loved her family.
She is survived by her parents James and Kathleen Cates of Melbourne, FL.; husband Melvin Wallace of Silver Creek; daughter’s Kathryn Hale and her husband Scott of Atlanta, and Michelle Wallace of Silver Creek; one grandson Blake Turner, and two sister Dorothea Kuzma of Titusville, FL., and Diana Lampert and her husband Daryl of St. Cloud, FL.
A memorial service for Mrs. Wallace was conducted Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Thomas B. Griffin Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with Larry Chapman officiating. The family received friends from 1:00 p.m. until the memorial hour. Flowers will be accepted or the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made in memory of Nancy Cates Wallace to The Murphy-Harpst Children’s Home, 740 Fletcher St. Cedartown, GA. 30125.
