Born January 15, 1952 in Jasper, Tennessee. He was the oldest son of William and Evelyn (Buchanan)Haynes.
After graduating Armuchee high school, John worked for the City of Rome, in the electrical and water and sewage Department until retirement.
Mr. Haynes was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed cards and movies and mostly teasing and joking with people, especially those he loved. He also loved football and the Tennessee volunteers
Mr. Haynes is survived by his wife, Carole (Raffield) Haynes, of Rome; daughters, Amy Haynes Tate, of Rome, Wendi and Danny Sewell of Rome, Stephen and Amber (Missi) Nix of Calhoun.
Also surviving is a sister, Patsy (Haynes) Morris; a brother David and Tootie Haynes; 3 grandsons, Dustin Tate, Deyton Nix and Colyn Nix, 2 granddaughters, Rebekah (Tate) and Joseph Wilson, Brittany (Sewell) and Ben Chambers.
Mr Haynes was preceded in death by his parents, a son Kevin Anthony Haynes, a granddaughter Jamie Sherie Tate, grandson, Jonathan Daniel Sewell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 on Friday, April 8, 2022, outdoors at a horse barn and pond at 200 Tom Bing Road, Silver Creek, GA. Flowers can be sent to 155 Tom Bing Rd c/o Wendi Sewell.
