Deborah was born July 20, 1953 to the late Georgia and Daniel O’Neal of Cleveland, Tennessee.
Deborah was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Deborah graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She enjoyed working with the Travel Nurse Corps before marrying Gary, the love of her life, and managing an internal medicine practice with him in Cleveland.
She was a woman of faith. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, writing and being in nature. Despite the effect of multiple sclerosis, she lived a full life.
In addition to her mother and father, Deborah is preceded in death by her sister-in-law Linda O’Neal and nephew Chris O’Neal.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Gary Killen; son, Daniel Killen; daughter, Ariel Killen-Sweeney; son-in-law, Kevin Sweeney; grandchildren, Evelyn Maya Sweeney and Eli Desmond Sweeney; brother, John O’Neal; niece, Tonia Sherrill (Randy Moseley); and many other loved extended family members.
A celebration of life will be held at Daniel's Funeral Home on Friday, July 28th from 5 o’clock in the afternoon until 8 o’clock in the evening. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at, 950 East Paces Ferry Rd NE Ste 820, Atlanta, GA 30326.
