Phillip D. Duncan, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023 at the age of 97. Phillip was a native of Louisiana and a resident of Rogers, Arkansas. He graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1944 and attended Louisiana State University. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged, then retired from the Louisiana National Guard. He was a past-president for the Louisiana Homebuilders Association in Monroe, Louisiana, and had a successful career at Walmart, Inc. until his retirement. Phillip is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marjorie Duncan; children, Randy and Don Duncan and Lisa Huffty; daughter-in-law Carol Duncan; step-children Conrad (Angela) and Mark (Alejandra) Veltmann; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Curry and son, Phillip Duncan, Jr.
Phillip loved telling jokes, fishing, and had a generous heart. Memorial service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church on Friday, September 15 at 3 p.m.
