As a pastor’s daughter, Kay was shown to love Jesus and grew up to be a strong Christian woman. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rogers for most of her adult life and attended Cross Church for the last few years. She was very passionate about music and an incredible singer; she even cracked a judge's glass during a competition. Kay was a choir teacher for the Rogers School District for many years and loved teaching others to enjoy and learn music. She was very kind and generous to everyone. Kay was selfless and took care of those around her to the end. She was the best Mimi ever and was overjoyed to spend time with her grandchildren. She was also a wonderful wife and mother. Kay will be forever missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy and daughter, Lea Ann Hopkins.
Kay is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jesse Hopkins, Sr. of Rogers; son, Jesse Hopkins, Jr. and his wife, Sarah of Rogers; daughter, Rachael Hopkins of Los Angeles, California; mother, Patsy Rogers of Van Buren, Arkansas; sister, Regina Rogers of Van Buren; and 4 grandchildren, Leah, Connor, Korbin, and Graham.
