Janette “Jan” Ebba Cullum of Rogers, AR, was escorted by angels to her heavenly home on July 12, 2024, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 20, 1950, in Torrance, California to Joe and Harriet (Hagstrom) Fagundes.
She worked for many years in various positions at Handyman in Southern California, Walmart/Fuji Photo Lab, and Arvest Bank in NW Arkansas. She retired in 2017 to take care of her mother in her home. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Rogers and was an active part of their senior adult group. She was previously a member at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Rogers as well as the Splitlog Baptist Church in Goodman, Missouri. She loved to serve others and helped in many of the children’s ministry roles over the years. She loved to read the Bible and listen to Christian music. She was passionate about all her family accepting Jesus Christ so they could join her in Heaven.
Jan was a devoted wife and loving mother who adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and they would call her Nana. She took her role in their lives wholeheartedly by attending every play, competition, sporting event, graduation, show choir, talent show, and performance that she could. She would also care for them at a moment’s notice if needed. She was a loyal friend to so many who considered her family.
She is preceded in death by her father; stepfather, Fred Butterfield, granddaughter, Rachael Staib; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Musso; brother, Pat Field; and sister Joyce Hallada. Jan is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thurman “Jack” Cullum; children, James Paul Musso, James Michael Cullum (Rebecca), and Janelle Staib (David); grandchildren, Nicole Masloff (Chris), Jessica Musso, Jimmy Musso, Candace Cullum-Smith (Matt), Daniel Laird, Shanna Graves (Trent), Sarah Atkinson, Jacob Cullum, Natalie Staib, Hailey Staib-Wilson (Tanner), and Nathaniel Staib; and great-grandchildren, Leonardo Masloff, Anastasiya Masloff, Ava Jenkins, Robert Graves, Emmett Powell, Shiloh Talbert, and Baby J. Wilson; her mother, Harriet Butterfield; as well as her siblings, Joseph Machado (Tonya), Jean Puckett, Judy Rinaldo (Edward), Marilee Algie, and William Field; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
