Dennis lived a long life and developed many talents along the way. He lived in Wichita during WWII and did his part for the war effort working on B-29 bombers at The Boeing Company. After moving to Northwest Arkansas, he opened a hatchery and feed store in Bentonville. He was a peerless handyman and spent the later years of his life working as a builder and electrician, teaching the trade to other members of his family. Outside of work, he was a hunter and fisherman.
Dennis was a longtime member of the First Christian Church of Bentonville. He was the church treasurer for 30 years, and earned the status of elder emeritus.
His survivors include his daughter, Patricia Ann Means and husband Homer of Rogers; grandchildren, Sherry Sparks, David, John, Scot, Miles, and Jarod Mason; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 62 years, Alice Mason; son, Kenneth Mason; sister, Lorene Boling; and nephew, Mike Boling.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 on Friday at Rollins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bentonville Cemetery.
