I was a student of Mr. Jaglin’s AP U.S. History class at Nazareth. He was an amazing teacher and opened the doors to a more critical way of thinking about history and power. He had a huge impact on my future. The score I got on the AP exam helped launch me to my dream college. Today, as a screenwriter, I often write stories about history. Thank you, Mr. Jaglin! My condolences to your family and friends.

I last saw Chris probably 40 years ago...
What I do remember was he was a kindhearted friend, with great a great family. My family sends their condolences, and we'll keep a good thought in our hearts and heads for them all.

I'm so sorry to hear of Chris' passing. I have nothing but fond memories of Chris, going back to 6th grade. He was always coming at you with a smile and maybe a joke.

Maya Angelou said that people may not remember what you did or said, but that they will always remember how you made them feel. 

It always felt good just to be around Chris, with his welcoming spirit, open to anything. What a loss.

As you can see from Chris's obituary, he led a generous and good life - always representing the I'm Third motto. Likability and good naturedness come to mind when thinking of Chris. He was also a great athlete and a capable camp guy - all around! Above: 1979 with one of his mentors - counselor Peter Platt.

Chris was a fixture at Camp Highlands for many summers and represented the spirit of the place as well as anyone with his gentle, kind, and general goodness. He was always in love with the place and its people - from moment one onwards. I'm sorry he did not get the chance to come back home to Camp at least one more time. - Tim Bachmann and the Camp Highlands family.

I had the pleasure of being a student in Mr. Jaglin’s history class twice and then getting to be his colleague at Nazareth. I learned so much from him in both contexts. He truly cared about his students, and we shared many laughs working the cafeteria for lunch duty, playing in the student faculty volleyball games, and more. He will be deeply missed. My condolences to his family and friends.

I have many great memories of Chris.  I shared an aparment with him and the sidelines with him coaching football.  He taught history in the room next to mine.  Everything he did was with enthusiasm.  I cannot say that I shared his love of heavy metal, but I did appreciate his passion for the music (no one played the air guitar better).  He was a stickler for precise execution on the football field.  Jumping offsides was not tolerated without consequences (extra sprints).  Needless to say, come game day, our opponents jumped offsides, but we never did.  We coached the Nazareth sophomore football team to an undefeated season our first year of coaching together.  It was the first undefeated football team at Nazareth Academy at any level.  The first of many to follow.  So many great memories of a great guy.  My wife, Christine, and I extend our deepest sympathies to Jeana, Sarah, and Emily.

Mr. Jaglin was a great teacher and a good friend to share and talk music with. During classes he would put on some classic metal and would talk music and classic movies with me and my classmates. Every now and then I'll hear a rock or a metal song and think of him. He will be missed.

I worked with Chris at Rogers public schools transportation I only knew him for a short time we took a few trips together but he was always so nice! I was sad to hear of his passing and sorry for your loss!!

As you grieve Chris’s terrible tragic loss he’s now in his heavenly home. We are all very briefly in our temporary earthly home awaiting our heavenly home to be reunited with our loved ones!  Someday you’ll be embraced with his hugs that were the biggest and best along with his great smile!
Gosh I’m just so so happy we made the trip to visit this spring, though short but so sweet! We shared so many memories! It was great!

Chris was such a good man and one that I considered a good friend. I met him when he drove a school bus when he worked there before. We became friends this year and though it was a short time, we became good friends almost immediately. We shared many stories from  our days in  coaching. He loved to talk anything about sports and classic rock music. I always enjoyed getting to visit with him between bus routes and will miss our discussions about track and field and those music groups that we both enjoyed. Chris will be missed by me and many more that whose life impacted by him.

I worked with Mr. Jaglin years ago and he helped me become the teacher I am today. He was passionate about history and eager to share resources to help a new reacher.  He was one of the people who made the day a good day.

I worked with Chris at Penske throughout the years. He will always be apart of the Penske family. He was a pleasure to work with. He had the biggest heart and was there to help with honey do chores as well as moving trucks for us. He will be truly missed. I was hoping once school was out that he would be coming back to help make the magic of "getting the right truck, to the right place, in the right timing." 

So many memories and stories that I could tell. One thing with Chris was the odd knowledge that he would share. Sharing with me  to learn about new things. Alway had a book with him on his down time. 

My heart goes out to his family.  You will be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless and may peace be with you in this very difficult time.

Chris was a highly valued volunteer at the NWA Humane Society for Animals. He came daily between his bus routes to spend time with our  dogs. He was excellent at getting them to walk nicely in a leash. We will miss him terribly! On behalf  of the staff, board and volunteers at the shelter we send our sincere sympathy to his family and friends. Chris was one of the great ones!

Sending out some real heartfelt condolences for Coach Jaglin's family and friends: 27 years on from high school graduation, and I still get together with best friends met on the freshman football team led by Coach Jaglin.  Not a get together amongst us passes without belly laughs about the mischief and misadventures of those days, and Coach blowing his whistle and giving us a stare-down and classic "What the frick are you doing?"  Yes indeed, life throws us many misadventures.  Sometimes it's just...what the frick?

The history teacher who inspired, even if he mangled a few historical names.  His description of a "feudal warlord out smashing the heads of serfs with his battle axe" woke me up good, and I still think about this mythical warlord while tramping through France.  He tolerated, if not outright encouraged, our puerile games.  And for that, we loved him and cherished his lessons and assignments (US History Wild West Re-enactments!).

We may have loved football game days, but track and field was the best.  Just a coach and a bunch of scrubs out having fun and running, no of us (including Coach) really knowing what the heck we should be doing.  But, he led us.  And many thousands and thousands of smiles and miles later, I reminisce on those winter training runs, hill workouts, the cinder track, "dicking around" and tolerating our clown antics at every meet.

He's been missed many years on.  He will be missed for many more by those closest to him.  RIP Mr. Jaglin.
