While working for the Bell Telephone Company as a telephone operator she met and married the love of her life, Charles Palmer in 1948. They were married for 65 years when he passed away in 2013.
They moved to Cocoa, Fl. In 1962 and raised their three daughters there.
Besides her family as her priority, she was a devoted active member of Messiah Lutheran Church, and she spent countless hours volunteering at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge.
Ruth is survived by her three daughters, Marilyn Walker (Ivan), Debbie Huether (Jake), and Mary Stark (John). She is also survived by her four Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her love of family, her strong faith in God, her wisdom, her service to others, her sense of humor, her beautiful smile, and her sweet spirit.
Special thanks and gratitude to our devoted caregivers Florence, Jackie, and Marian for their love and care of both Charles and Ruth for over ten years.
The family also wishes to acknowledge Health First Hospice –especially Michelle, Jeannie, Barb, and Jean for their wonderful care of Ruth during the last few months.
