Ruby will be lovingly remembered by her children: Starr and Bruce (Lynda), her grandchildren; Misty (Phil), Kiann, Kelly (Dave), Jeni (Jeremy) and Jared. Her great grandchildren: Sage (Jordan), Sierra, Jacob and Amelia; and Cooper, her great great grandchild, Willow Moon. Ruby is survived by two sisters; Huberta Kilgore from Oklahoma and Minnette Connelly from New Mexico. Preceded in death by her brother, Benford Loyd.
She was born in Hollywood, Alabama and moved to Florida in the early 50’s. She was dedicated to her faith and soon was employed at First Baptist Church, Merritt Island as the pastor’s secretary, a position she held until she retired.Ruby enjoyed camping, traveling and air boating and motorcycle riding with her late husband, Gene.
A visitation for Ruby will be held Monday, August 29, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:30 PM at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South US Hwy 1, Rockledge, Florida. Pastor Bruce Crawford will be presiding.
