There are too many memories to share of my favorite uncle....Summers vacations, Christmas in Florida,  him helping me fish on lett lane.  

Im even happier my son was able.to.creat memories picking guitar with him the past couple years.  

One of the most men I ever knew and I will miss him dearly. 


Robert was a character always had something funny to say or do. It was my honor to care for Robert and his wife.  He is deeply missed. 

It is very hard not being there with you all today. But please always know how much I love you. How much I loved and respected your daddy and I’m always here if you need me! God bless you on this journey. Love, Aunt Tennie 

PS. I have too many fun filled memories to ever think of recording it here ...but when we get together we will certainly be sharing them and having some good belly laughs!


Way to many memories of my daddy.  He was the softest, kindest, strongest, most handy, loving person.  He was talented at everything.  I remember one day, my kids were still small, I called him because my toilet was backed up and I was trying to fix it and I took the back off the potty to look.  I dropped the back and it broke and I was crying.  I remember him answering the phone and me crying telling him that I was trying to fix my own plumbing issue and had broke the back and what was I going to do.  I was so upset with myself.  He replied “ well that’s no big deal honey, I can fix all that, please don’t cry” he came right away looked and went and got everything he needed and a new ceramic back.  I was single most of my life and my dad was the man I looked up to for so many reasons.  He always made sure we knew, no matter what, everything would be okay.  It was such a joy to live with him and mom as they aged, even if it was only for a while, it was a blessing to have all that time to love on them the way they loved on me my whole life.  I will forever be a daddy’s girl because he was the true image of a man of God. Grateful and thankful God gave me to them.  One funny thing dad always said to me as he was getting older, I would scratch his back for him and he’d say “I’ll give you 5 hours to stop doing that”!  God love that man!

The first thing that came to mind was to thank the Lord for all the beautiful memories. For me it has always been Robert and Carolyn, never one without the other in this long life together that inspired many, some of us more than others. I loved them like they were my own. When they came into church they radiated and to me won the best dressed couple. Robert was always so kind and caring to to my entire family.  At their home we would spend hours together while taking care of sweet Carolyn as her health declined. She was dearest to my heart than any women I knew. Robert would share stories and he had a lot of them. Many of them about his children, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Some of the time it would be past work or places in the mountains that you could clearly see was a major part of his heart. He had an obsession with maintaining his grass and his yard and it showed. Robert was the one that got me to love hot pepper seeds on my food and not always hot sauce lol! Robert was a very special man to my entire family and I know for sure both he and Carolyn are in my heart forever. Thank you to the Lett family who always make us feel like family. Love and Comfort in Christ Jesus❤️

Sherri and I were in high school and are still best friends and I remember her dad being very quiet and kind. When you were in his presence you could feel his sweet and gentle soul. He also had a funny side to him and always managed to make Sheri and I laugh. He had gotten Sherri an old muscle car when we were in high school and we would burn the tires off that car from patching out and drag racing. She thought she was going to get in trouble, but he would give her a lecture and just put more tires on it for her. I never saw him get mad or upset. We were more afraid of her mom then him. He could fix or build anything and was always doing something in his work shop.  He loved his family very much, especially his wife Carolyn. I never saw 2 people that were so in love  even after 65 years of marriage his love for her never wavered. . He will be greatly missed by all that knew him…
