Robert D. Holt, 89, of Melbourne, FL., died Friday, December 19, 2014 at Indian River Center in Melbourne. Born in High Point, North Carolina, he was the son of Robert and Ruby (Briggs) Holt.
He came to Brevard County in 1967 from Alabama. He served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII and also retired from the United States Air Force. He worked for General Electric and Harris Corporation before starting his own business, Positive Business Systems Inc. (PBSI). He was a member of the Masons and enjoyed fishing and camping.
He is survived by his son; Robert Holt (Debra) of Palm Bay, FL., sister; Brenda Altman, 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 10AM at The Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955 with burial in Florida Memorial Gardens.
