Michael "Billy" Stephens

21, 2021. Michael was born to Charles Stephens and Evelyn Hicks on April 23rd, 1957 at Holmes Regional

Hospital in Melbourne, FL. Billy lived in Cocoa Beach, FL where he attended and graduated from Cocoa

Beach High School. Billy then went on to attend the University of Florida and University of Central

Florida, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Billy also obtained Master’s

Degrees from Embry-Riddle and Keiser University. Upon graduation, Billy returned to the Space Coast

where he spent his entire career in Aerospace Finance. Billy spent time with Lockheed Martin, United

Space Alliance, and the last 14 years with NASA. He is survived by his wife, Patti Stephens (58), and son,

Tyler Stephens (23). Billy is preceded in death by his father, Charles Stephens, mother, Evelyn Hicks,

sister, Cindy Stephens, and brother, Daniel Stephens.

Billy was respected and loved by many. His impact throughout his extensive baseball coaching

career can still be seen throughout the community. His compassion and generosity provided for many to

play the game of baseball. He touched so many different people in such a positive way. He was quick to

forgive, always positive, and easy to love. He had a love for music and enjoyed playing with his band.

Karate helped keep him disciplined and in great shape. He surfed for most of his life and loved the

beach. Playing golf and tennis with his son was a favorite pastime. He will forever be loved and missed.

A celebration of life will be held November 7th, 2021 at 2:00pm at Brevard Christian Church on

Merritt Island.
