Merle took her last breath on November 13th, 2024. Born in Baltimore in 1935, Merle joined her older brother Bobby, mom Bessie, and dad Albert. Merle met her husband of 60+ years, Tom, on a blind date at the U.S. Naval Academy. Tom graduated in 1956, married the same year, and military assignments in England, Maryland, Ohio, Massachusetts, and Virginia followed. Two kinds, Marc and Debbie, joined the fold early on. For the past three decades, Melbourne has been home, a stone's throw from Debbie and her kids. Merle enjoyed many things like, volunteering at Suntree Elementary, cruises, Mah Jongg, crabfest, reading novels, jigsaws and crossword puzzles. Merle had a good life.
A graveside service for Merle will be held Monday, November 18, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 US-1, Rockledge, FL 32955.
