Mary Jean McMillan

Mary Jean McMillan, 93, was called to her home in Heaven on Saturday January 28, 2023. born on October 16, 1929 to Lester and Agnes (Williamson) Loggins in Birmingham, Alabama.

She was married to her dear husband of 75 years, James William (Bill) McMillan, Sr. on June 28, 1947. They lived in Spartanburg, SC for 12 years where she worked in their sweetshop on Main Street. In 1959 they moved to Cocoa where she became a member of the Cocoa Jaycees and soon started an in-home child care service. Many of the children she helped raise continued to visit her into adulthood. Her family was her life and she loved every moment she had with them.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Bill; daughter, Constance Edmunds (husband Richard; sons, James William McMillan, Jr. and Lester D. McMillan; Granddaughter, Crystal M. Giannini (husband Donatello) and six great grandsons Giuseppe, Vincenzo, Dominic, Angelo, Lorenzo, and Maurizio; Grandson William McMillan (wife Rosalia), great grandson Gianmarco James and great granddaughter Sofia Rose.

Mary Jean loved her family and cherished her friendships. She was strong in her faith and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cocoa.

She will be missed by all that knew her.

We will honor her beautiful life on February 10, 2023 at 11:30am at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial in Rockledge, Florida.
