With her family businesses, she took part in helping and working as a farmer, a seamstress, and even helped her siblings everyday before school taking care of the family owned trailer park. After marriage, having two children, her main “profession” was as a homemaker and stay at home mom. She also did volunteer work at her children’s school, Clearlake Middle School in Cocoa Fla. She enjoyed working in the clinic as a way to keep close to her children and to take part in their education. As her children got older she did some work waitressing at the local bowling alley. She was also a very good bowler and played in bowling tournaments at the local bowling alley, Shores Lane, Merritt Island, Fla.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Yancey, her father, Ernest Yancey, sister, Jean Blount, and sister, Carol Canham. She is survived by her daughter, Dana Thompson Emanuel of Cocoa, Florida. She is also survived by her brother, Ernest Yancey of Titusville Fla. She is also survived by 6 grandkids,
Buddy Emanuel of Cocoa Florida, Krystal Clawson of Cocoa Florida, Christopher Emanuel of Lumberton North Carolina, Hailey Stevenson Cocoa, FL, Emmy Stephenson of Merritt Island Florida, and Ciara Stephenson of Merritt Island Florida, and 9 great- grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 6pm to 7pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 11, 2022 at 10 am in same location.
