A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and an amazing friend, he is survived by his wife Josefine; daughter, Josephine; and granddaughter, Isabella.
James was upbeat, optimistic, loving, caring, and had a presence that could light up a room.
He was born and raised in Kent, Washington where he raised 12 horses over the years, fished with his friends, and self taught himself to play guitar. He later went on to join the Air Force and continued to play his guitar and sing at different military functions as well as dive bars at the many air stations he served. He was a sweet soul who loved to surprise his wife, daughter, and granddaughter every chance he had. He was also quite the jokester and loved to scare and prank his daughter. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved to travel with his wife places. He was an avid reader and would spend hours reading his western and murder mystery books. He also loved to join in when his wife and daughter would sing karaoke. His granddaughter was always mesmerized with him every time he picked up his guitar and started to play and sing. He was a great man and had a one of a kind personality. He was a friend to everyone he met. He will be deeply missed.
Those memories will forever be engraved in our hearts. And the songs will forever be heard in our minds.
The family wishes to express much gratitude to Hospice of St. Francis for their beautiful and caring environment and the comfort they gave to not only James but his family as well during his final hours.
A visitation gathering for James will be held from 5PM to 7PM on Monday, January 16, 2023 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, Rockledge, FL 32955. A funeral mass will be held at 1PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5655 Stadium Pkwy, Melbourne, FL 32940.
