Allen Fredrick Morrison

Allen graduated from New Ross High School, Class of 1949. He entered the newly formed United States Air Force in 1951 and was stationed in Rapid City, South Dakota, Wichita Falls, Texas, Chateauroux, France, RAF Lakenheath, England and finally Patrick AFB in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Allen met and married Elsie Geigle while stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base on July 12, 1953. Allen and Elsie raised four children, Dale born in 1954, Vonda born in 1957, Connie born in1960 and Tom born in 1965. He retired from the Air Force in January of 1973.

Allen worked in the auto parts industry and eventually purchased Ace Auto Parts in 1973 and sold the business in 1986. In his retirement he had many jobs such as flower delivery, auto parts delivery and other various odd jobs.

He spent Summers at his cabin on Lake Norman near Sherrill's Ford, North Carolina. Allen cherished spending time with his grandchildren and eventually great-grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoyed working on antique clocks and fixing almost anything mechanical.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years Elsie Morrison, son Dale Morrison (Christina), daughter Vonda Kruger (Danny Barkley), daughter Connie Stephans (Craig) and son Tom Morrison (Lori), grandchildren Jennifer Watson, Aaron Patterson, Donnie Krueger, Brian Krueger, David Coyle, Michele Rozynski, Daniel Coyle, Megan Morrison, Sara Morrison and Paul Morrison, great-grandchildren Gwyneth Watson, Matthew Watson, Hayden Krueger Owen Krueger, Grayson Krueger, Emmy Krueger, Kaylee Coyle, Jonah Coyle, Kurtis Rozynski and Kenzie Rozynski.

A visitation for Allen will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Life Event Center At Florida Memorial, 5950 S US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens.
