Sherry Lou Patton

Sherry was born on June 15, 1958 in Rockford, the daughter of Willis “Dub” and Teresa Deen. Sherry married Michael Patton on February 1, 2011. Sherry was a mother and friend to many, she loved being with friends and family. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, she was always full of love and life. Sherry loved supporting her sons-in-laws bands and the local music scene.

Sherry is survived by her mother Teresa Deen; husband Michael; daughter Nikki (Ronald) Peek, son Eric (Brittney) Dover, daughter Jessica Dover (Holden Axelson), grandmother Alma Crown, step-daughter Trista Patton, step-sons Joshua Patton and Albert (Rachel) Patton; grandchildren: Christian Patton, Kylie Dover, Camden Dover, Baby Dover, Kersty Peek, Tyler Peek, David McDaniel, Austin McDaniel, Ashlee McDaniel, Madeline Patton and Teagen Patton; brothers Larry Deen and Terry (Lynn) Deen; sisters-in-laws Sherl I. Hamilton, Debbie J. (Larry) Davis, Diana L. West, Muriel K. Patton; brothers-in-laws Robert F. (Terry) Patton, John E. (Helene) Patton, Terry E. (Mary) Patton and Dennis D. Patton; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father Willis “Dub” Deen, husband Donald E. Ganus, grandfather Robert L. Crown, sisters-in-laws Vickie L. Deen and Christina A. Patton, brother-in-law Roger W. Patton.

A service to celebrate Sherry’s life will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday December 16, 2014 at Advantage Funeral Home 7000 W. State St. in Rockford. Visitation for Sherry will be Monday December 15, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Willwood Cemetery.
