Patricia "Pat" Y. Smith, 86, of Rockford, IL, passed away Thursday evening, September 26, 2024. She was born March 3, 1938 in Sullivan, IN, the daughter of Orville and Nellie (Deckard) Wright. Patricia married Bob D. Smith, he preceded her in death in 1999. Pat was employed by Amerock and Barber Colman for many years prior to retirement. She enjoyed tending to her flowers. Pat loved doing crafts. She also enjoyed playing bingo and giving her money to the slot machines. Pat adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all.
Pat is survived by her children, Terry (Faith Farmer) Smith, Barry Smith and Jodi Mathes; grandchildren, Brian (Carrie) DeGarmo, Crystal (Justin Bergeson) Matthews who was raised by Pat, Christopher Smith, Christina Smith, Dawn Smith and Cody Vaughn; numerous great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and her faithful companion, Ollie. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, brother David Wright.
A celebration of life will be announced.
