Judith K. "Judy" Hall, 79, of Rockford, IL, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024 after a long illness. She was born June 2, 1945 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Archie and Jean (Salisbury) McDonald. Judy graduated from West High School and went on to work at Hugh Deery Insurance in 1963, where she met the love of her life, Stephen Hall. She and Steve married on March 14, 1964. Judy was employed at Hugh Deery from 1963-1991. After retirement, she became a full time grandma for her granddaughter, Courtney. Judy enjoyed going to the lake from 1972- 2020. She and Steve enjoyed boating on Lake Delavan and Lake Geneva. One of the fond memories was getting up early and water skiing. Judy looked forward to Courtney coming to the lake and bringing her friends. She loved Pier 290 and Chuck's in the Lake Geneva area. Judy and Steve enjoyed visiting Bonaire, where they would scuba dive. She liked traveling to various places. Judy had a love for her cat, Pumpkin and her goldfish, Mutt and Jeff. She also enjoyed watching cardinals. Judy was always feeding the squirrels "Ritz" crackers. Judy loved listening to Elvis, Frankie Lane, Tanya Tucker and Linda Ronstadt.
Judy is loved and missed by her daughter, Tracy (Dennis) Norup; granddaughter, Courtney (Rich) Gresty; great-grandson on the way, Richard Gresty; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Stephen and brother Mike McDonald.
