Joe is my baby brother, I was assigned to take care of him when we were growing up, clean him, put to sleep singing lullaby, and make his milk bottle. I spend precious time watching him play basketball at school, he made me prove telling everyone that I am big brother.
When I left the old country, I don’t even remember how I told him goodbye until we join one another again here in the states. I watched him became a man and became an excellent man when he married Carmen and most specially became a man I admired for continuing the legacy of our family. When I left the old country our dad came to see me go, our dad do not want to go anywhere but tend his farm but he did for me!
Before I board the plane our dad asked me one last question, he said “ son is there any other things you wanted?” I said “no dad you have done enough already “ then he ask “ I wanted to ask you one thing”, he said do the same things he have done to my family! That is the LEGACY, our legacy.
Well little brother you are not supposed to go first, but its ok, your legacy will bear with your family and I am very proud of you, rest now and say hello to mom and dad as well as our brothers.

So sorry to hear of your loss.  Have faith god will help you get through this terrible time in your life. Dios te bendiga tu hermano José

Dear Tito Joe, you and Tito Boy stayed with us in Schaumberg when I was about 4 years old and I thought you were a loud class clown.  You were always laughing and talking loud with my Dad.  I remember asking you to teach me how to dance because I viewed you as the 'fun uncle' so you turned on our TV to a music channel and we stood in the living room.  You then showed me how to step side by side to the beat and I said, 'that's not dancing!' and we stopped to laugh it off.

You also had to drive me and my sister in a small car when car seats were not required so the both of us sat in the front seat and you pretended that the breaks were not working.  You made me and my sister scream in fear because we thought we were going to crash into the car in front of us.

May your soul be at rest.  I love you and thank you for making me laugh.



His  Soul left his body but his legacy will forever remind amount those who knew Joe. Humble, happy, hard working, loving but most of all always ready to help those in need. May today be a day to remember the importance to be with family like Joe always loved.  Descansa en Paz.

Joseph is loved and missed by his wife, Carmen; children, Jorge Torres, Alberto Esguerra, Jennifer Esguerra and Eduardo Esguerra; siblings, Herman, Henry, Marcelino, Anthony, Teresita and Angelito; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Moises, Jr, Danielo and Ramon.
