Evanna J. Launius

Evanna J. Launius, 88, of Rockford passed away Monday, August 5, 2019 at River Bluff Nursing Home. Evanna was born on January 6, 1931 in Rockford, the daughter of Dewey F. and Wilma (Whisman) Fields. She married Doyle Launius in 1966 and he preceded her in death in 2004. Evanna loved to teach modeling and had her own studio. She loved gardening, coffee time with family and friends, tea with her cousins Barb and Shirley and spending time taking care of her little dog PeeWee. Evanna is survived by her son Randy (Joan) Olson; daughters Lisa (Rickey) Williams and Gina McCoy (Dane Crawford); grandchildren David Olson, Jarod (Nicky) Olson, Kristi (Nate Hilleshiem) Olson, Ciara Williams, Jamari Williams and Anthony “Tony” Olson; great-grandchildren Bret, Logan, Elizabeth, Morgan, Maddox and Emma. Evanna was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Jack Launius. The family would like to thank Alison Smith and Rose Rainer of Heartland Hospice, Mary and Perla at River Bluff Nursing Home and both staffs for all the loving care given to Evanna.

In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to Heartland Hospice or River Bluff Nursing Home in Evanna’s name.

Inurnment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Advantage Funeral and Cremations accorded cremation rites.
