Edward Clay Hutsell Jr., age 57, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. He was born as a twin on January 1, 1967 to Bonnie Mae (Foresman) and Edward Clay Hutsell Sr. in Rockford, Illinois. Edward was self-employed in construction and siding.
He enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Chicago Bears, and hunting. Ed liked to work on cars and also destroy them in demolition derbies. He had a tomato plant competition with his family, whom he would help out any time they needed with only minor complaints.
Edward is survived by his fiancé, Wendi Moorman; mother, Bonnie Hutsell; children, Amanda Hutsell, and Edward C. Hutsell III; grandchildren, Xavior, Malaki, Trenton, and Milah; siblings, Kim (Robert) Zissler, Karla Hutsell, Kelly (Jamie) Hutsell-Cook, and Candy (Chad) Lenz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Edward Hutsell Sr.; and nephew, Brandon Hutsell.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
A visitation for Edward will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7000 West State Street, Rockford, Illinois 61102, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
