Eleanor Hahn, 94, formerly of Laurel, MD, LaVale, MD, New Brighton and Chippewa Twp., PA, was met in Heaven by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 25, 2024, in Raleigh, NC. She left this world with her only son at her side. Eleanor was born on June 17, 1929, in New Brighton, PA, to Donald Dale Rhodes and Edith Carson Rhodes. She graduated from New Brighton High School and Indiana U of PA. Eleanor was primarily a first grade teacher in several Beaver County, PA schools, including Highland Elementary in Chippewa Twp. She was also a dedicated member of Grace Methodist Church of New Brighton, LaVale Methodist Church, and First United Methodist Church of Laurel.
Eleanor was a sweet, loving, caring person and an excellent listener, singer, organist and pianist.
She was married to Donald Hahn, of Beaver Falls, PA, for 50 years until his death in 2001. A child could have no better parents.
Eleanor is survived by her son and caregiver for the last two years, Gary Hahn of Raleigh, NC. A nephew, Robert Hahn (Kathy) of Pittsboro, NC, a niece, Sherry Rhodes Eiler (Richard) of Darlington, PA, and cousins Carol Anderson of Beaver Falls, Chester Rhodes (Carol) of Ambridge, PA, Ron Rhodes of Jefferson, GA, Dale Rhodes of Kingston, AZ, Dauna Hutter of Strongsville, OH, Gary Rhodes, of Texas, Brandy Eiler Woods (Paul) of New Brighton and Candace Eiler Sprecker (Robert) of Baden, PA also survive her.
An internment service will be held at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 12 noon.
