Mary M. Rouse

Gates: Joined her beloved husband, Nicholas, and daughter, Lorraine Yanz, in eternal rest on May 16, 2018, at the age of 97.

Besides her husband and daughter she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lorraine, William, Dorothy, and Katherine.

She is survived by her son-in-law, David Yanz; grandchildren, Lisa (Don) Lehman and Mark (Sarah) Yanz; great-granddaughter, Ramona Lehman; her best friend and caregiver, Charlotte VanHouter, as well as several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Mary loved life and time spent with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and was also very devout in her Catholic faith.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, May 24th, from 4-7PM at the Funeral Home of ALVAH HALLORAN & SON, 2125 Chili Ave., Gates. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 25th, at 9:00AM in St. Monica’s Church, 831 Genesee St., Rochester. Entombment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The School of the Holy Childhood, or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
