Ruth Elaine Palen

Ruth Elaine Palen, age 85, of Clarkston, Michigan, formerly of Auburn Hills, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024. She was born in Pontiac Michigan on October 6th 1938 to Mabel (Sands) and Christos Andritsis.

Elaine had the heart of an angel, she gave so much of herself to her family and friends. If you knew Elaine, you could not help but love her and she loved you. She loved her family very much as well as her church family at Lake Orion Church of God.

Elaine battled a rare dementia called "Primary Progressive Aphasia" which ultimately took her ability of speech and what she loved most, singing to the Lord. She held onto four words as long as she could, "I Love You Too". She will be missed beyond words, but now she can finally rest in the arms of her savior until we meet again.

Elaine is survived by her Daughter Norma Palen, her Nephew Charlie, whom she loved like a son, Maureen, whom she loved like a daughter. Sisters Audrey and Sophia, and her brother Leslie. Many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband Loren Palen, son; Russell Palen, Brothers; Nick, Jim, and Johnny. Sisters; Tina, Irene, Alice, Mary, and Vera.

A visitation for Ruth Elaine will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.

Ruth Elaine will be laid to rest in Christian Memorial Gardens West, 521 E Hamlin Rd, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48307.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ruth Elaine's memory may be made to Lake Orion Church of God, 760 Clarkston Rd, Lake Orion, Michigan US.
