Laurence "Larry" L. Vickery

VICKERY, Laurence “Larry” L., age 88, of Rochester, Michigan, passed away on June 3, 2018. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on July 10, 1929. Larry graduated from Kalamazoo College with a B.A. in History and then received his M.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan. He was married to Louona Vickery on October 10, 1992. Larry worked various assignments in Executive Management for General Motors Corporation, the most recent being a Regional Personnel Director. During his career, Larry was a member of many State Education and Civic Organizations. He had a passion for golf, bowling, skiing, reading, puzzles and walking the beach. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Louona Vickery; his children, Lisa (Steve) Siegan, Laurence (Stacy) R. Vickery, and Linda (Don) Nettler; his grandchildren, Kelly, Kimberly, Kristen, Kyle, Rick, and John; his 5 great grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Darlene Vickery; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, from 1-3 PM, with a Memorial Service beginning at 3 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, MI.
