John was born the son of Andrea and Giuseppa (Marchione) Logiudice in Detroit, Michigan on September 13, 1935. John spent six years of his youth in an orphanage following his mother’s passing until his father could again raise him. John attended high School in Detroit before joining the United States Marine Corps. He married Sheila Smith in 1958 in Detroit. Sheila and John raised their family in Warren before divorcing. John had a career as a production foreman for Ferndale Fastners, retiring in 1998.
John loved ballroom dancing, including competing and teaching others. He enjoyed fishing up north with friends and watching movies. John loved Frankenmuth, Mackinaw Island, and everything Christmas.
John is survived by his children John (Donna Hobbs) Logiudice, Robin (Jim) Medlow, and Carolyn (Armando) Esquivel; grandchildren Brandon (Christina) Medlow, Jaclyn (Ryan) Stoll, Garrett Logiudice, Gabriel (Kayla Akers) Logiudice, Giovanni (Olivia Hill-Vasquez) Esquivel, and Amanda Esquivel; great-granddaughter Natalya Logiudice; and many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his son William Logiudice; his parents; siblings Benny Logiudice, Angie Davis, and Betty Houck; and grandchildren Jacob and Joshua Logiudice.
John’s family will welcome all to a visitation on Thursday June 6th, 2024 from 10am until the time of the funeral service at noon at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. Burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery the same day at 2:30pm.
