John Raymond Adams

Born in Detroit, Michigan, on November 11,1943, John graduated from Grove High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Ferris State University. Throughout his life, John remained passionate about the performing arts. He was an active member of several amature community theater groups, where he found joy and purpose in stage management, set building, and lighting design. His behind-the-scenes work helped bring countless productions to life.

John is survived by his brother Bill (Cindy) Adams; his nieces and nephews: Adrian (Jessie) Adams, Alexa (Pat) Schloff, Nicholas (Mandy) Hanner, Christopher Hanner, and Amy Hanner; great nieces and nephews: Sara, Melanie, Geneva, Calvin, Liam, Alison, Zachary, Angelique, Kayla, Jonathon, Noah, Evan, Bryce, and Savanah. He is also survived by his great-great-niece and nephews: June, Reece, and Jeffrey. John is preceded in by his niece Amanda Adams

A visitation for John will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan, 48307. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow at Guardian Angel Cemetery, Rochester, Michigan.
