Eric graduated from Lahser High School and earned a BFA in dance from the Joffrey Ballet School of New School University in New York. He leaves behind his past and present partners David Traitel and Jashim Manowar. Eric had a career in dance, film, theatre, and modeling, most notably in the Broadway National Tour of Twyla Tharp's "Movin' Out," the film "I Am Legend," numerous performances of "The Nutcracker" throughout the United States, and Lanford Wilson's play "Balm in Gilead" in New York.
He is survived by his mother Theresa Spear; his step-father Jeffrey Douma; his brothers Justin (Jean) Spear and Blake Spear; his nieces Emma, Megan, and Julia Spear; his step siblings Kate and Christopher Westcott.
Memorial visitation will be held from 10 am to noon followed by a Celebration of Life, January 25, 2025, at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester, Michigan 48307.
