It is hard for Aaron and I to even put into words all that Grandma meant to us. She was Aaron's rock, advisor and comfort through all things. We truly believe that it was through her faith and prayers that brought him home safely during his time in service overseas and again those prayers that kept him going and ultimately brought him to me. She was there the day I officially became a part of this family even though she had already made me feel like one of her own from the first weekend we met. She passed on the most precious gift to me that my family will cherish forever. I am so grateful that she was able to meet our children and that we have those memories.  Grandma you will forever be in our hearts until the day we are once again in your arms. Love you always - Aaron & Addy

Dear David and family,
Dora was a special lady and I will always remember the talks that we had, especially about the Lord.  She always lifted my spirit as we spoke with one another.  Dora loved her family and many times asked me to pray for her family which I did.  I look forward to seeing her one day in God's kingdom.  I am continuing to pray for the family that God will surround you all in His mighty love.  

Aunt Dora was the most kind and caring person I’d ever met. Full of mischief and smiles, she was always the light that filled the room. Aunt Dora would always tell me that she still had a picture that I either drew for her or colored for her when I was younger. She would tel me every chance she got that she still had it and looked at it every day. She always knew what to say to make you few special and loved. When I heard she wasn’t doing well, I went and got a “Dora the explorer “ tattoo in her honor. A previous conversation with her about placement of the tattoo, we jokingly talking about putting on my bum since she was a “pain in my butt”! Forever in my heart and forever with me. Rest in Heaven Aunt Dora! Love you

Aunt Dora by marriage yet a “real “ Aunt  to me. She made you feel part of her family from the first meeting. I will never forget waking up from anesthesia at Crittenton and there she was grinning at me in the recovery room. She was grinning because tucked under my arm was a “baby” she had make out of a styrofoam cup and towels with hand drawn face on the cup. I also remember her delight when I gave birth to my own “David Michael”. She was one of the most special and precious women that God placed on this earth. Resting now in peace!

I met “mama” Perry from being life sisters with her daughter Marcie ! I will cherish all the memories we have made over the years ! I will never forget the laughter , the lessons or the stories told and I will especially always remember the “bird” song from camp 😂 you were a special woman Mama Dora and you will be dearly missed ! Rest peacefully ! 

We have such great memories of Dora from camp. If there was any mischief going on you could bet she was in the middle of it. What a very special lady she was. Rest in peace sweet friend.

I first met Dora as a kid, at Wolverine Christian Service Camp. She was our nurse and she treated a bee sting and homesickness as if I was one of her kids. Every year I would go back, and there she would be... loving and caring for every kid as if they were her own.
It wasn't until I grew older and became a faculty member and later a dean that I appreciated her love and service to the Lord. She taught me joy, compassion, and a love of kids that I've never forgotten. 

My favorite aunt I remember going up north and she made us olive loaf sandwiches to eat on the road. They tasted bad but she was a awsome aunt i will miss her so much and will always in my heart. Love you aunt dora

Though I haven’t seen Dora in our later years, I always liked her. Always,kind, helpful & friendly.

Oh Muffin, where do I start. I have so many fond memories of us together. Playing games with you, Marcie and David and always laughing!  Going to the movies, out to dinner, taking and picking you up from the airport. She had memory problems but yet worked at the information station at the airport. Her and I would talk about anything and everything. She was a good listener and would give me good advice. She called me her adopted daughter and I loved her very much! Fly high Muffin! 

I shall forever be known as Sam... I have not a clue where the name came from, but she always said I looked more like a Sam. We meet at Rock Lake Christian Assembly, and we're inseparable for many years. I shall miss her here, but know that someday we shall have a reunion again!
