David Craig Braun, age 68, died Sunday, March 5th, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda; Children Jason (Jennifer) Braun, Peter (Katie) Braun, and Katie (Tim) Connaghan; Grandchildren Joslyn, Jake, Jack, Miles, and Ruby; Brothers Ken (Corinne) Braun, Frank (Karyn) Braun, and Darryl (Gina) Braun. Preceded in death by his parents Frank and Yvonne Braun
David was born on September 18th, 1954, in Cleveland, OH. He grew up in Royal Oak, MI where he attended Shrine Catholic Grade School and High School. He went on to get his Undergraduate and Masters degrees in Business Administration from the University of Detroit. He started his career in Human Resources at Chrysler Corporation and from there went on to Volkswagen of America where he became involved with the infamous VW Golf Group. He also worked at Stroh Brewing Company and then, where he spent the majority of his career, went on to Right Management Consultants in Outplacement and Sales. His last career move was with Jobplex/DHR as an executive recruiter. David enjoyed boating, golf, skiing, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
David was a founding member of St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church, and most recently a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.
The family will receive friends Thursday March 9th, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home (322 W. University Dr, Rochester).
Funeral service will be held Friday March 10th, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Hills Catholic Church (2675 John R Rd, Rochester Hills). Fr. Stanley Ulman officiating. Mr. Braun will lie in state at the church on Friday, 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
