Adrian was born in Croswell, MI on July 21, 1923, son of the late William Jennings Hulverson and Mildred Muriel (Westbrook) Hulverson. His siblings William Hulverson, Lucille Klock, Bernita Chatters and Marie Hagy preceded him in death.
He married the late Adelia (MacNeil) Hulverson on October 6, 1945 after serving as 1st Lieutenant in the US Army Air Corps. During WWII, Adrian was a P-38 pilot, stationed in Italy with the 1st Fighter Group, 71st Fighter Squadron.
Adrian graduated from General Motors Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s of Science Mechanical Engineering degree, retiring as VP of Advanced Engineering at Fruehauf Trailer Corporation where he was named on 21 patents related to the truck trailer manufacturing industry.
Adrian was devoted to his wife of 66 years and their family. He is survived by children James (Nancy) Hulverson, JoAnne (Gary) Flattery and Diane Werre. Grandchildren Christopher (Anna Lisa) Flattery, Matthew (Kristy) Hulverson, Chelsea Flattery and Samantha (Matthew) Davis. Great grandchildren Celine Celestina Flattery, Victoria Hulverson, Adrian Flattery, Liam Flattery and Caroline Hulverson. Several nieces and nephews. His grandson, A.J. Hulverson preceded him in death.
He enjoyed woodworking, reading and sharing stories with his family on the porch at their northern Michigan cottage.
He was hoping to meet his 100th birthday, passing just two months short of that milestone. He will be greatly missed and his impact on his family is immeasurable.
A private burial service will be held. Donations to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Adelia Hulverson, or a charity of your choice, are appreciated.
