This gent was my Father inlaw and I loved him like a father. He was always good to me and he and I shared many good times and memories. SIR, as I called him left a lasting impression on me that will last my entire life as to how much a man can love his family to which he   was deeply committed. He was a good man and I will miss him.

My Tata a man of many traits!! Gifted in so many ways!!! Thank you God for giving us such a loving, caring, talented, silly, precious Grandfather. I know he is in heaven singing, dancing and making everyone laugh!!!! Te vas Angel mio.... you will be missed but "Never" forgotten!!!

My Tata, my hero, my strength. This has been the most heartbreaking experience of my life. I can't close my eyes without hearing your voice, your laugh, or hearing your play the guitar. When I'm at my mom's I start to cry Tata because  my mind starts to wonder and I start hearing you walking with your cane and dragging your feet the way you used to walk. My Tata I'm going crazy without you, I miss you every moment of each day. All I can do for comfort is close my eyes and relive all the wonderful memories I have with you.  I remember as a little girl going to visit you and my nana and always running straight to the backyard as soon as we pulled in the driveway. You'd be sitting down on your homemade chair eating a whole-half of a “watermel” with a spoon and your shirt open because of the heat with the juice and seeds from the watermelon all over your stomach & your recorded music playing. I remember being so excited in elementary school on Fridays because I knew you and Nana would be coming to visit. I wouldn't wait for friends to walk home with because I'd run home from school, seeing the little red truck parked in front of the house was the best feeling in the world. From as far back as I could remember Tata you'd always try to talk to me and prepare me for what I considered my worst nightmare, you leaving us. This is so hard Tata but I know that you don't want us to be sad Tata; I know you want us to keep strong for my Nana and stay close as a family. Your biggest concern in life was always the well being of your family. The love you shared with all of us Tata is impeccable, there's not one person who can't share a story of you without laughing or smiling. You made such a huge impact on all of our lives and you leave such loving and happy memories with all of us. I give God so much thanks for placing you in my life. I will never let the memory of you go away, you will forever live in my heart and the heart of Amavi. Thank you for being my loving support and for your words of wisdom. You're alive in my heart Tata. Rest peacefully, I love you endlessly,” I LIPS”, and I'll see you one day.

When I recieved the news that my dearest friend Dolores lost her irreplaceable grandfather, I felt touched once again by the memories she shared through the years about him. Sharing our hearts with others cannot be unfelt. What a gift when they are remembered with the specialness Vidal Garcia has bestowed on all whom he loved and loved him. And in turn made this world a better place like the ripples in still waters. A powerful man he must have been to have touched such beautiful people.

My Tata possessed a quality that we all strive for - The ability to Touch the soul of another human being. Whether it was by his song, his stories or the look in his eyes - He had a certain moxie to him. The late Nelson Mandela said " As we let our own light shine, we Unconsciously give others permission to do the same." My Tata leaves this earth complete - he encouraged, empowered and embraced us all. You will truly be missed Tata. I love you

RIP Mr Garcia always enjoyed having a chat with you when i used to see you in Calipas even though it would take you a while to remember who i was.But even though it was heart warming.Since 1963 when i came to Calipat this people that are leaving us to be with our Lord they are the ones that shared our lives good and bad times.Condolences to all the Garcia family too many to name but you know who you are.He is greatly missed i am sure already..

 I love and miss you! What I would do to go back and have one more memory of walking into your house and see you sitting on your chair watching a baseball or basketball game. We at the VA Eye Clinic are very saddened by the loss of Mr. Garcia. We always enjoy seeing him when he came into the office.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Tata I think I've caught myself smiling & having a small laugh more than what tears have fallen for u. There's so many things you taught us so many crazy hilarious inventions that keep coming to mind how can I not laugh or smile. Remembering u when u would sing while playing your guitar or harmonica that's what breaks me down but I know heaven has a great person & musician now that I know one day I will get to see. Ayy yii yiii where do I start. I will forever feel sadness in my heart because your no longer here with us, but im happy your resting and at peace. Everytime I needed a smile for my face I went to him he was the biggest jokster even when It came time to having to be serious. Always making somebody laugh. He taught himself to play the guitar and every year for my birthday as far back as I could remember, My tata would play his guitar and sing happy birthday. Its just those little special things you did and said that made you, YOU. Thank you for being a number 1 tata at all times. I will forever cherish my memories with you. Tata, I know you were a great man, you served your country as a U.S.Marine in WWII and raised 8 children. Everyone around town is sending there condolences. Everyone keeps reminding me of the great man you were. I'm proud to carry your name as do some of my cousins. At work on my uniform I make sure that your initial is always there. I will always remember all those crazy dances you would make up at parties or how when we would come visit you would almost always be outside in the backyard making or fixing something in the 120 degree heat..Thank you for showing my dad and all your children to be hard working providers for there families....may you rest in peace
