Hey Travis. It’s Sarah B. Thought of you today with affection. I don’t know why this memory stuck with me but we were at some party in high school and a dog was kind of choking/hiccuping and you stroked its throat downward till it felt better and then popped up and said “I fixed it!”. I wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you.  I'm sorry for our loss & the difficult feelings your feeling at this time.  My prayers of comfort &  peace are for you,  also a giant hug for  all.

In first grade, we wrote a book together, "The Librarian from the Black Lagoon". I wrote the story, and of course you illustrated it.  In fourth grade, we covered the Spin Doctors "Two Princes" and changed the words to be about the gold rush and performed it for the class wearing beanies and sunglasses.  We created the Cobras, a fictional club where we'd get together with a few other kids and eat snacks.   Looking back, we were always in cahoots.

You were an incredibly talented artist, and with me being someone who loved to tell stories, I can't imagine a better match. 

You moved, and then I moved even further, and we lost track of each other .  I'm sorry I never knew who you became although if I had to guess, we'd have still likely found ourselves in cahoots as adults, at least as much as adults can.  

I'll never forget how you were  an incredibly picky eater. We were having enchiladas - my favorite food - and I asked if you wanted to stay.  You looked me in the eye and proclaimed loudly that you didn't eat itchy larvae.  I was taken aback by your refusal, but it had me on the floor laughing all the same.  It's been over twenty years since that happened, and while my brain has forgotten reams of important moments and memories, I've hung onto that one.  It's funny how that works but I suppose it makes sense: it's one of my first memories of friendship and laughter and those aren't something you forget. 

Thank you Travis for that memory, and for being my friend.

I am just now getting around to doing this because I had a real hard time putting how I feel into words. I cannot begin to state how much you have helped me in my hard times that I have had in my life. You had a gift when it came to bringing laughter, comedy and joy to others around you when it was most needed. You would always lift my mood whenever I was down and needed some cheering up. I am always going to remember all the hilarious and joyous times that we have had together and they will continue to influence me for the rest of my life. I am glad that I was able to be friends with you for the past 12 years or so. I hope you know that I am really going to miss you.

Our hearts are aching with the  Sherrill and Ladd families and friends.   Travis was loved dearly and we pray that some comfort will be found in the coming months with fond memories of this wonderful young man.

My lil bro, 
I have so many memories and adventures we had! Our imagination matched so we always had fun playing or dreaming. We were more like twins with how a like and our passion for music, family, art, fun and truth. We made a jingle in highschool called Ice cream that sums you and I up. Your part was "I am the ice"  my part "I am the cream" both "together we are Ice Cream".... You were my lil bro and I was always your big sister and biggest fan! My favorite artist and comedian will always be in my heart until we meet again! love you and miss you!

Travis was truly one of a kind. He had a big heart and a kind, gentle soul.  His talent and thoughtfulness were, in my eyes, his distinguishing traits that set 
him apart from the crowd. 

I am so thankful that I had such an amazing cousin in my life, and I will always cherish the memories I have of our time spent together.

Travis Sherrill, there is so much of who I am today that is owed to you and your friendship. You taught me how to be vulnerable and how to listen intently. Travis, you were one of the most creative minded dudes I've known. My memories of you will forever be your gift of being kind, gentle and honest with your thoughts. My son , There are no words I can say how much I love you. I know you loved me too. Just about the time I was going to give up on having another child,  God gave you to me, although even for this short time .  The memories I have are so many that it would fill novels to write. You shared your knowledge and ideas with me, and I loved watching you express your many talents that are so inspiring to me . If I can't see you here on earth, I will have you in my heart and I will see you in heaven. I still don't know the Snake song! Say hi to everyone up there. Every Time I do crafts I will put a little piece of you with it, from the memories in my heart. Thank you God for allowing me to be called Mom by a wonderful son.

Travis was such an amazing and talented person. Loving, giving, thoughtful, and funny too. He made me laugh, smile, made me think, taught me things, and made me proud. Travis, 

You were such a great friend to me, when we met I didnt think about the friendship that we would have.  Remembering the times of us in our band together, how you taught me how to become a better drummer, how we would have random gaming and movie nights. You were my dear friend and we both had each other during our harder times in life. I wish we had more time,  since now life will become harder without  you. I'm really going to miss you, but one day we will meet again.

Thank you for coming to our Christmas party last year.  My husband and my mother had the pleasure of finally meeting you. We heard so many awesome things about you from Anthony, especially how you loved Christmas. We laughed so hard when you played white elephant with us. You seemed so happy.

We were looking forward to seeing you at Anthony’s party, but we will promise to celebrate with you in spirit.

Travis was an incredible cousin! I was blessed to have shared TONS of amazing times with him throughout his life---stand outs include: annual Camp Scherman Family Camp, playing games at our monthly family get togethers and Holidays, and seeing his amazing talent for art, music and photography! The most memorable thing I will forever cherish about Travis was how he cared so deeply for my children!! He played with them, read to them and genuinely adored being with them! They adore Travis and will remember him as the cool cousin who, although he was an adult, ALWAYS had time to spend with them, doing what they wanted to do!
