Everyday I miss you Dad and it still hurts like the first day you gained your wings!!!

Richard you will be truly missed. I will always remember the times that you were my dancing partner. Most of all, the time that we had a dance competition at Henry's Bar, to see which one of us could dance for the longest.  you lost and owed me.  You always had a way of making people laugh.  Many will have pain without you, but you are out of pain.  God Bless You.

I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there to say my final good byes. I have nothing but fond memories of you. You always had a story to tell us and we’re always fun to have a beer with. I still remember how much it hurt when you would pinch our cheeks growing up. You were here with us every holiday and now it’s gonna be different. You always made time to make your rounds and visit all of your family. You’re definitely going to be missed by many, especially my mom and grandma teddy.  I will forever remember you tio. Uncle Richard you’re going to be truly missed very much by me, my kids, and Big Jerry. Especially when I’m having my get togethers and I make your favorite foods like pasta salad, enchiladas, potato salad NO EGGS! and the pozole. I’ll miss you saying “I hate pizza and spaghetti!” And me telling you “sorry uncle rich that’s what we’re having for dinner today”. I’ll miss you coming over for thanksgiving and especially Christmas when you come knocking on our door very early in the morning. Richard thank you for always being there for me, my son Richard, my granddaughter Angelina, and my mom. I’m really gonna miss you, I’m thankful that you and my mom were there for each other. Papa Richard  my favorite person i can go to when I wanted to he always made me feel loved and bought happiness over my day, he would always call me angiemima and he would pinch my cheek when he seen me, when ever he would go to my grandma peaches house he would have his beer and his salt and his lime and he would have his tray I remember when I was around the age of 7 or 6 I would play this make believe game with him and he would always lose the game so I would win. Papas one of the funniest people I know, he would always tell me a joke when he seen me i remember when I would live with my grandma peachy and he would pick me up in the afternoon and take me to family parties, I'm gonna miss going shopping with him I'm gonna miss presence around me, I'm gonna miss you so much papa I love you......Fly high 🕊😭💕

I really don’t know where to begin…no one really does. I don’t want to miss saying something and remember after, but it’s bound to happen when you speak about a person who is special to you and your family.  So, with that…my Uncle Richard from my earliest memories was always at our home, drinking coffee with my mom or stopping in for a beer, smoke and conversation.  No matter what generation, everyone in the family knew Uncle Richard.  He would give out funny nicknames, say a few jokes or the famous face pinch, a hug, an I love you and…that laugh. I am very blessed to have had him in my life, and more blessed that my children grew up around such an amazing uncle. I, along with my family will cherish those memories and will truly miss his presence.  I love you Uncle Richard, may you rest in peace.
