Paul Eugene Glover, age 94, of Perris, California passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Paul was born in Safford, Arizona to Francis Parham Glover and Alfaretta Estella Higgins Glover. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carlyn Jean Glover, daughter Paula, and sister Grace. Paul is survived by his children; Richard, Marcia, Tamera, and Stephen in addition to his sister Ruth, and a multitude of grand children and great grand children.
Paul was an US Navy veteran. He served on the Destroyer Escort USS Walton (DE 361) and separated from active duty in El Centro, California. Paul saw action aboard the USS Walton in the Korean Conflict. Through his hard work and dedication, he achieved the rank of SN. He received praise for his valor, including being awarded China Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with an Engagement Star. He was employed for several years by McDonnel Douglas Aircraft Company then several different trades over the years, to include manufactured home park manager with his wife of nearly 70 years prior to retirement. Paul was committed to living the life of a good man who was both practical and trustworthy. He was committed to the traditional values that he upheld his entire life. He committed himself to being a hard worker who expected the same effort in return from those around him. Most of all, he was fiercely loyal and committed to his wife and family.
A visitation for Paul will be held Monday, July 31, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary, 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92505. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518.
