Norma Best Bradshaw, age 87, of Riverside, California, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2022, surrounded by all three of her children. Norma was born on July 12, 1934 in Danville, KY - the seventh of nine children born to Paul and Irene Best. After receiving her master’s degree from Gallaudet University, Norma moved to Riverside with her husband, Burt and son, Steve and spent her career teaching deaf and hearing impaired students at California School for the Deaf, Riverside. Norma and Burt had two more children, daughters Lori and Stephanie. Many years later they were loving grandparents to five grandchildren Tyler, Sean, Travis, Molly and Kaycie. A strong Southern Baptist, Norma became a member of Magnolia Avenue Baptist Church (now Magnolia Church) shortly after moving to Riverside and remained a member of that congregation until she passed.
Norma is predeceased by her parents, her eight siblings and her husband. She is survived by her three children, their spouses and her five grandchildren. A lifetime of memories will live on through them.
Norma will be buried alongside her husband at the Riverside National Cemetery. The date and times for her services are listed below.
