Mary spent much of her childhood in Blythe, Ca and attended Palos Verde High School. Once married, Jim and Mary settled in Fontana, Ca. Over the years, Mary and Jim ran multiple Gas and Service Stations in Fontana and San Bernardino with Jim as the mechanic and Mary the shrewd business manager.
Mary was always a homemaker and a seamstress and later in life, she used her skills to create costumes for her daughter’s high school Drill Team. Always involved in social clubs such as neighborhood Bunco, Bowling leagues, and the Elks, Mary was widely known for her clever intelligence and kindness.
Due to Alzheimer’s disease, Mary lost her ability to recognize family or friends, to move or to speak in 2009. Nonetheless, her caregivers, who has not known her prior to her disability, recognized the kindness in her heart; it simply showed in her eyes.
Mary passed peacefully in her sleep on April 20, 2016.
