Cooter, Joan Patricia, age 79, of Norco, CA, received her angel wings Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at home with family and friends at her side after her battle with breast cancer. Pat was born October 8, 1937 in Ft Lauderdale, FL. She grew up in Norwalk, CA and attended Excelsior High School. She was married to her husband Rex Cooter for 48 years until his death in September 2005. She was a resident of Norco for 48 years. Pat enjoyed bowling, playing women's volleyball, coed softball, and women's slo pitch softball. She coached for Norco Little League for 3 years. For 39 years she coached for Norco Girls Softball and then was a longtime board member for Norco Girls Softball. Pat is survived by her son, Mike; daughters, Peggy (Randy) McIntyre, Jennifer (Mark) Reed, Stephanie (Ty) Cavanaugh; 9 grandchildren, Amy (Tony), Ryan, Shay, Kylie, Dylan, Michael, Brady, Mark, and Landen; 3 great grandchildren; Braysen, Brynlee, and Berlyn, brother, Jimmy, and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 22 at 11am at Pierce Brothers-Crestlawn Memorial Park.
